Last fall the federal Environmental Protection Agency released a draft study that showed "a slightly increased risk of cancer" for children, ages one to six, exposed to the pesticide used to treat wood. The draft study by the EPA found the added chances of a child between one to six getting cancer ranged from one in one million, considered negligible, to one in one-hundred thousand. Experts recommend making sure children wash their hands after playing and don't eat on the play sets or let food touch the wood. The Assistant Administrator for the EPA quoted earlier this year as saying, "a quality penetrating oil finish can help trap the arsenic."
Penofin® Pressure-Treated transparent wood finishes outpenetrate all other wood stains. It is the perfect answer to protect and improve pressure-treated wood on playground equipment and decks. This incredible penetrating stain is made from Brazilian Rosewood Oil sustainably harvested. It is the only transparent wood finish to have a 99% ultraviolet sun-blocker rating and increased mildew protection…and it meets all U.S. air quality standards.
Penofin Pressure-Treated wood stain comes in three beautiful tones to hide the green and seal the arsenic in the wood to protect humans and the environment. It beats all other stains in penetration and these tests can be viewed on the Penofin web site, www.penofin.com. Recommending "Penofin the world's finest wood finish®" can protect pressure-treated wood, help it look beautiful, and protect everyone who touches CCA treated wood.
